COURSE OVERVIEW

Launched in 2026, this Canadian course helps workers and supervisors understand how to work safely in extreme heat and cold conditions. Learners will explore applicable legislation, standards, roles and responsibilities, hazard assessment, acclimatization, and effective control measures. The course explains the signs and effects of heat and cold stress, proper selection of protective clothing and equipment, and emergency response procedures. By the end of the course, participants will be able to identify temperature-related hazards, assess risks, apply preventive controls, and respond appropriately to heat- and cold-related illnesses and emergencies.
