Description

This Tracked Dozer Operator training course has been designed for those with an occupational requirement to be trained to safely undertake work activities that involve the operation of a Tracked Dozer. The goal of this course is to help you understand what the operator responsibilities are and how to manage those responsibilities to protect your health and safety and your co-workers. This Tracked Dozer Operator course will also establish an understanding of the statutory requirements of the federal COHS, Provincial and Territorial OH&S legislations. We will achieve this through discussion and by participating in skills practice and operator performance evaluation.

This course will provide the participant with the necessary knowledge regarding:

• Identify the Components, Controls and Safety Equipment on a Typical Tracked Dozer.
• Describe the Uses of a Tracked Dozer.
• Perform Pre-start Inspection and Maintenance Procedures.
• Explain Safety Rules for Operating a Tracked Dozer.
• Start, Warm up, Shut Down and Refuelling Considerations.
• Perform Basic Manoeuvres and Basic Earthmoving Operations with a Tracked Dozer.
